All public health insurance programs are available to immigrants in New York State. Certain documentation may be necessary to obtain care under these programs. Undocumented immigrants may not be eligible for Family Health Plus or Medicaid, but are eligible for Child Health Plus, Prenatal Care Assistance Program, Family Planning Extension Program, AIDS Drug Assistance Program, and emergency Medicaid.
